Welcome to Nordic Ballet — a dance school in the heart of Copenhagen
Here, ballet becomes a language understood by everyone — from the youngest children to adults, from complete beginners to aspiring professionals. We combine classical traditions with modern approaches, creating a space where anyone can discover themselves through movement.
A method shaped by tradition— open to the future
Since 2015, we have been building a unique community inspired by the Russian ballet school and adapted to the modern world. Our approach combines a strong technical foundation, attention to individuality, and respect for physical and age-specific needs. Classes are offered in Russian and English, using classical French ballet terminology.
For all ages, levels, and goals
At Nordic Ballet, we teach children from the age of 3, teenagers, and adults. We work with absolute beginners as well as those preparing for academy entrance exams, competitions, and stage performances.
We don’t just teach dance — we nurture personality
At Nordic Ballet, every student is seen as an individual. Even in group classes (with up to 10 students), the teacher works with each dancer: tailoring exercises, monitoring progress, and encouraging self-expression. But most importantly, we cultivate not only dancers, but whole human beings — with a sense of style, taste, cultural awareness, and inner freedom. Dance becomes more than technique; it is a language through which character and personality take shape.
Our programs include:
- Classical ballet
- Jazz-modern
- Folk stage dance
- Contemporary dance
- European and Latin American ballroom dance programs
Training is available in small groups, private lessons, and couples’ sessions, with flexible schedules from 1 to 5 classes per week.
A space for growth — and the stage
Our students perform at the Royal Danish Theatre, take part in cultural nights and festivals, win national and international competitions — or simply find inspiration and confidence in dance.
We place special focus on inclusion: our school offers adapted programs for students with special needs.
Classes take place at:
- Nørre Allé 51 (Copenhagen University campus)
- Ny Carlsberg Vej 99 (European School Copenhagen)
