Nordic Ballet — where classical art meets a modern spirit in the heart of Copenhagen
Founded in 2015, Nordic Ballet has become a meeting point for students of all ages and cultures. Here, we value not only technical mastery, but also depth, individuality, and the ability to think and create on stage.
Artistic Director: Valery Shvetsov
Valery Shvetsov is a teacher, choreographer, and performer who has developed his own teaching methodology — a synthesis of academic precision and a highly individual approach. He is a senior lecturer in the Department of Choreography at the Perm State Academy of Arts and head of the choreography program at the Perm Professional Pedagogical College.
Valery graduated with honors from the Perm Ballet School, earned a red diploma from Chelyabinsk Pedagogical University, and completed an internship at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. His stage career includes work as a soloist in Russian theaters and with the China National Opera, as well as touring in Turkey, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and China. He led the dance company Russian Stars and has brought dozens of stage productions to life.
As a teacher, he trains not only technical precision but also stage thinking, stylistic awareness, and expressive movement. His students are admitted to leading European academies, win awards at international competitions, and grow into confident, accomplished artists.
Administrative Director: Konstantin Petukhov
Konstantin Petukhov is the Administrative Director of Nordic Ballet, a sociologist, PhD in Political Science, and associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Political Science. He is responsible for the school’s strategic development, scheduling, partnerships, logistics, and digital infrastructure. His academic background helps shape the school into an open, resilient, and adaptive institution.
Nordic Ballet is a space where professionalism meets respect for every student — and where art becomes a living part of culture.
